The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) of Uganda has issued a stark warning to the public, exposing two illegal gaming operators accused of scamming unsuspecting Ugandans. The regulatory board has named BLQFOOTBALL (blqbetting.com) and ARG.FOOTBALL (argfootball.org) as unlicensed entities actively defrauding bettors.
According to the announcement, these fraudulent companies are luring victims using specific phone numbers linked to individuals allegedly involved in the scam:
- 0786-24 33 18 (Perudah Namataka)
- 0766-93 72 75 (Nuru Nalumansi)
- 0744-67 06 97 (Elias Beyendezi)
A Clear Warning to Ugandan Bettors
The NLGRB is urging Ugandans to steer clear of these illegal operators and verify the legitimacy of licensed betting sites in Uganda before participating. “We strongly warn the public to exercise caution and refrain from engaging with unlicensed operators,” the notice stated.
Gambling regulations exist for a reason- to ensure fairness, security, and player protection. But rogue operators sidestep these rules, often leaving players with no recourse when winnings disappear or accounts are frozen.
How to Stay Safe
Before placing a bet, the NLGRB advises players to always check for a valid operating license and be wary of any platform making unrealistic promises. Those who suspect fraudulent activity are encouraged to report incidents immediately via the official toll-free hotline: 0800 285 800.
