Uganda’s National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) has taken a significant step in promoting responsible gambling. The NLGRB introduced a Responsible Gaming Training program aimed at creating a culture of responsible gaming and protecting vulnerable individuals.
Key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Sports, actively participated in the program. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of addressing societal challenges associated with gaming activities through comprehensive measures.
Proactive Measures to Ensure Responsible Gaming
The NLGRB has been proactive in fostering responsible gaming and ethical standards within the industry. Collaborating with government bodies demonstrates a commitment to player protection and responsible gaming principles.
The Responsible Gaming Training program equips participants with insights into responsible gaming practices. It empowers them to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with gambling and develop strategies for promoting responsible gaming behaviour and minimizing harm.
Strengthening Regulatory Framework
Uganda continues to enhance its regulatory framework for the gaming industry, including brick and mortar betting shops and online betting sites in Uganda. The NLGRB is dedicated to creating a transparent and accountable gaming environment that prioritizes player protection and social responsibility.
The involvement of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Sports reflects a shared commitment to addressing the challenges of responsible gaming. It highlights Uganda’s collective vision for a sustainable and ethical gaming ecosystem.
