SoftSwiss, a big name in the iGaming tech world, is spreading its wings into Africa by snapping up a juicy stake in South African software star Turfsport. While they’re keeping the financial nitty-gritty under wraps, they’re not shy about how this deal is a game-changer for them.
This isn’t just any old deal. By teaming up with Turfsport, known for its slick software in sports betting, horse racing, and lotto, SoftSwiss is set to spice up its product mix and greet new markets with a smile. Turfsport’s already a buddy to over 40 operators in South Africa, and now it’s about to get even busier.
SoftSwiss’s co-CEO, Andrey Starovoitov, is buzzing with excitement. He sees this move as the perfect shortcut to new markets. “With this agreement, SoftSwiss takes a significant step forward in its extensive expansion into South Africa and the African continent,” he says. Starovoitov’s already eyeing Africa as the next big thing, hot on the heels of Latin America. “We look forward to enhancing our product portfolio and continuing our commitment to providing high-end solutions to our partners.”
Turfsport’s Global Ambitions
Over at Turfsport, CEO Christian Neuberger is equally thrilled. He reckons joining forces with SoftSwiss opens doors to global adventures. “Turfsport was looking for an international partner that would complement our strong brand in South Africa,” Neuberger notes. “We are absolutely delighted to have found the ideal partner in Softswiss and its dynamic and fast-growing team.”
The duo is all set to roll out nifty product enhancements and services, giving their customers a leg up in the ever-changing market. Neuberger is excited about blending Turfsport’s local savvy with SoftSwiss’s global know-how, especially in South Africa and beyond.
SoftSwiss isn’t just stopping here. They’re gearing up to spill more beans about this African adventure and the South African market at ICE 2024. You can catch them at Stand N8-231, where they’ll be part of the action from 6-8 February at ExCeL London.
