The Hollywood Foundation is ringing in the school year with a big-hearted R8 million back-to-school campaign in collaboration with Hollywoodbets South Africa. This initiative is all about giving a helping hand to families and lighting up learners’ faces from communities far and wide with essential school goodies. Launching this year’s campaign, they’ve teamed up with stars and groups who echo their mission.
Vuyisile Ngobese, the voice of the Hollywood Foundation, shares the spirit of the campaign, “Education is our youngsters’ golden ticket, and our ‘Back to School’ blitz, kicking off 22 January 2024, shows we’re all in on fuelling future brilliance.
By decking out kids with the right gear, we’re not just prepping them for a great academic start. We’re also easing the load on parents’ shoulders, fostering a vibe where learning shines as the guiding light of hope and chance.”
Star-studded Support for Scholars
Choosing schools to sprinkle this magic on involved a fabulous mix of Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassadors, charities, sports clubs, and celebs like Khuli Chana, Big Zulu & Sjava, Mr Thela, and rugby star Makazole Mampimpi, not to mention the airwaves buzz through mainstream and local radio.
With Hollywoodbets’ 97 shops across the country chipping in, the drive is on to sprinkle a bit of joy in the lives of learners, especially in neighbourhoods they call home. The goodies bag? Everything from snazzy uniforms and stationery to comfy school shoes for the 2024 academic journey.
