Boosted by legendary singer and social activist Youssou N’Dour, premier technology and platform provider Honoré Gaming has inaugurated its state-of-the-art office facility in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.
The inauguration, signalling a major play into the booming West African iGaming market, was attended by Honoré Gaming’s employees and top-level executives from the National Lottery operator, Lonase. It also featured a keynote speech from Lonase CEO, Mr Lat Diop.
But undoubtedly N’Dour, perhaps the most famous singer in Africa and one-time Minister of Culture in Senegal, a former French colony, was the star of the show.
Honoré Gaming has carved out a reputation as the preferred technology partner for terrestrial and online sportsbook and casino operators in the African region.
The firm, quite naturally, specialises in African francophone markets, notably: Senegal, Chad, and Congo Brazzaville.
The opening of the Dakar office coincides with Honoré Gaming’s strategic focus on French-speaking African markets; while the company is also seeking to expand into English-speaking African markets and, in further bold moves, also evaluate possibilities to launch its retail and online technology in emerging markets such as Latin America.
Africa has garnered attention from operators for some years, and several top-tier brands have recently ventured into the region.
This development has spurred interest from second-tier operators and local betting brands eager to seize the potential opportunities in the market.
Honoré Gaming positions itself to assist these brands, including major players, in launching their sportsbooks and casinos in various jurisdictions. Its retail and online technologies and platforms enable operators to effectively adapt and customize their offerings for each market.
Understanding and catering to diverse player preferences across the continent and meeting differing regulatory requirements in each targeted country are key to success. Honoré’s solutions have been designed with the flexibility to allow operators to achieve this seamlessly.
Christophe Casanova, COO at Honoré Gaming, said: “We are delighted to open an office in Senegal. We continue to establish ourselves as the leading technology and platform provider in Africa.
“Senegal is a key market for us and our partners, so it’s great to have a presence in the country from where we can better support land-based and online operators.
“Africa has been a market of interest for a number of years, but there is now real momentum across the region with more and more brands wanting to get in on the action. Our platform and suite of solutions have been designed specifically for Africa, allowing operators to deploy sportsbook and casino experiences that not only meet but exceed player expectations.
“That we can no offer this from an office based in the heart of Senegal is a major milestone for Honoré Gaming and sets us up for continued success.”
