Gal Sport Betting (GSB) has unveiled the Aviator Race, a new gamified version of the popular Aviator crash game, offering players in Zambia a chance to compete for daily prizes through leaderboards and in-game challenges.
The launch marks GSB’s latest move to diversify beyond sports betting and strengthen its position in Zambia’s fast-evolving online casino market, where gamified and social play experiences are gaining popularity.
Turning Aviator into a competition
Already one of the most played crash-style games in Zambia, Aviator lets users bet and cash out before a multiplier “crashes.” Gal Sport Betting Zambia new Aviator Race adds a competitive twist — players now race against each other to complete specific tasks faster than their peers, earning free bets and leaderboard rankings.
“Ready. Set. Fly! Join the Aviator Race and prove your speed! 800 Free Flights every day. Only the 40 fastest win rewards,” the company said in a launch statement.
To qualify, players must wager at least 2 ZMW ($0.08) per round, bet a total of 600 ZMW ($24), and hit a multiplier of 8.5x or higher three times. The first 40 players to complete all in-game tasks win 20 Free Flights each — bonuses valid for 24 hours within Aviator.
Each daily cycle distributes up to 11,200 ZMW ($450) in Free Bets, adding a social and time-based dynamic to the fast-paced gameplay.
Licensed, compliant, and locally focused
GSB said the promotion complies fully with the Zambia State and Lotteries Board’s regulations and will run for seven daily race cycles beginning 3 November 2025.
The company emphasised that all activities are monitored under its parent entity, Impala Tech Group Limited, and that players must be registered users to participate.
By using leaderboards, rewards, and race-style mechanics, GSB Zambia aims to make casino gaming more interactive — a trend increasingly mirrored by betting sites in Kenya and other African markets, where competition for user engagement is driving innovation.
Adapting to new tax realities
The launch comes just months after Zambia’s government imposed a 10% excise duty on betting stakes, prompting local operators to rethink marketing and retention strategies. Industry observers say gamification campaigns such as Aviator Race are helping licensed brands maintain momentum while adhering to stricter tax and compliance regimes.
How to join the race
- Open the Aviator game and click “Join” on the Top Bar Line.
- Bet above 2 ZMW per round and aim to complete the tasks.
- Be among the first 40 players to finish, and Free Bets will be automatically credited once the daily race ends.
The promotion runs daily from 00:01 to 23:59 GMT, and winnings from Free Bets require a 1x wagering before withdrawal.
A sign of Zambia’s evolving gaming market
GSB’s introduction of Aviator Race highlights a broader industry shift in Zambia toward interactive, responsible, and regulated gaming entertainment. With player engagement tools, time-limited bonuses, and community-based competitions, operators are blending the thrill of casino games with the accessibility of mobile technology.
