Something extraordinary is bubbling up at Makueni County’s Kako School for Special Needs. Thanks to a heartwarming collaboration between the Odi Mtaani Foundation (powered by the folks at online betting sensation Odibets) and the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB), a massive water project has just seen the light of day.
Under the lead of Odi Mtaani’s own Dedan Mungai, and with a sprinkle of grace from BCLB’s Chairperson, Rev (Dr) Jane Mwikali Makau, this initiative is more than a mere gesture—it’s a vow to uplift lives. Shadrack Nduto Mwendo, speaking on behalf of the locals, couldn’t hide his excitement. “This is a game-changer,” he said, picturing the future where education and community life in Kako soar thanks to this project.
More Than Just Water
But hang on, there’s more! Mungai and his team continued beyond water. They also brought along sanitary towels and food, showing their all-in approach to community support. “This is just the beginning,” Mungai assured, hinting at more good deeds on the horizon.
The drilling begins next Monday, led by the foundation’s geology wizards, aiming to quench the thirst of both the school and its surrounding community.
A Ripple Effect of Goodwill
Rev (Dr) Jane Mwikali Makau couldn’t help but praise the foundation’s generous move. “It’s a shining example for others in the betting industry,” she remarked, encouraging a ripple effect of goodwill. She also suggested the school set up a crew to keep the borehole running smoothly, ensuring its benefits last long into the future.
The event wrapped up with a symbolic tree planting led by the guests of honour. It was a sign of growth, resilience, and the lasting change that comes when folks join hands for a noble cause.
Odibets’ Odi Mtaani Foundation is on a mission to prove that true success comes from enriching the communities they serve. It’s a lesson in going beyond profits, making a real difference where it counts.
