FirstRand, who owns First National Bank, launched the FNB eWallet in South Africa in 2009. It is an online, prepaid account that stores money and can be used to transact online and off on smartphone and computer.
How to Use FNB eWallet
Withdrawing from an FNB ATM will require you using your smartphone to request a withdrawal and a PIN. Because this PIN expires within a few hours of receiving it, it’s recommended that you go to the ATM before starting the process.
Dial 120*277# and press 1 to select Withdraw Cash. Press 1 again to choose Get ATM PIN and you should receive a text containing a unique, four-digit numeric password instantly. You have 16 hours from the time you receive this message to use this code. Visit an FNB ATM, press Enter or Cardless Services and then choose eWallet Services.
Enter your mobile phone number, press Proceed and then provide the PIN number. Enter a withdrawal amount equal to or less than the funds in your account and you should get your money accordingly.
