Bitcoin is a decentralised digital cryptocurrency that was created in 2009 by someone using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. Physical Bitcoins don’t exist, they are balances kept on a public ledger stored in the Cloud and protected by Blockchain technology.
How to Use Bitcoin
Download a Bitcoin app, programme, or wallet from any of the many available online. Then visit the Buy Bitcoin page and purchase the cryptocurrency using your credit card or select a Bitcoin Exchange where you can do the same. Remember, keep your private key/s secret and back up all the credentials you’re using in a secure offline storage point. Failing to do so could see you losing all your Bitcoin if something happens to the device that holds your wallet information.
Give the sender your public address to receive Bitcoin. To send, you’ll need to copy the receiver’s public address, or scan a QR code, and navigate to your wallet’s Send feature, where you’ll paste this information. Specify how much you want to send, confirm that the address and amount are correct, and Send. Many sites and online casinos now accept Bitcoin and it can be used to pay for a variety of goods and services.
