Preparations have well-advanced for the 8th BiG (Betting & iGaming) Africa Summit that is due to take place 8-9 February. Organizers, Eventus International, said there had been lots of interest from potential international delegates.

BiG Africa is the largest summit of players in the African betting and iGaming market. The annual event is a highlight on the continent’s gaming and betting calendar.

Organizers have been at pains to ensure a bumper attendance by shifting the date to 8-9 February. The new date has allowed more countries to lift travel restrictions to South Africa.

Eventus International’s MD, Yudi Soetjiptadi, confirmed the changed date. This would ensure higher international traffic and engagement, he added.

Many countries banned travel to and from South Africa in December 2021. This followed news of a new Covid-19 variant, Omicron that had been reported to have originated from the country.

South Africa is permitting international and domestic flights in the country.

Build Networks

The event is a chance to build new networks. Existing partnerships stand to benefit too. Johannesburg’s Emperors Palace is the venue for the event that promises a large and spectacular exhibition floor.

Exchange Ideas

The gathering will give delegates unmatched networking opportunities. It will also enable the exchanging of ideas during conference sessions.

BiG Africa is an important platform to discuss new strategic directions going forward. Particularly so in the Covid era, the “new normal”.

All health and safety protocols are in place. This will ensure the well-being of participants. The African iGaming industry is reuniting once again after a long break.
