Artist Diamond Platnumz is doing big things. The WCB president recently revealed he now owns his own betting company.
Platnumz announced the big news as part of an official unveiling ceremony. The event was presented in a colourful way. Many of the biggest names and celebrities in the entertainment industry attended. Dar es Salaam in Tanzania was the scene of the big unveiling, with several government officials present too.
Introducing WasafiBet
Platnumz’s new betting company is called WasafiBet. According to the popular Tanzanian artist, the company is a way to give something back. It’s a thank you to his millions of fans for their unwavering support.
The artist said his fans had stuck with him through thick and through thin. He added that sports fans can now look forward to winning big when placing bets with WasafiBet.
Friends of the Tanzanian artist revealed to the press that the project had been a long time coming. It had apparently been in the pipeline since the beginning of 2021.
Making it all possible is a partnership between the artist and Kenyan betting giant Odibets. This collaboration ensures that Platnumz’s dream of owning his own betting company has now become a reality.
A Bond Between Two Countries
Odibets General Manager Dedan Mungai also spoke during the unveiling event. Mungai said the launch of the new betting company was a happy occasion. He added that working together with the Platnumz and his Wasafi team meant yet another bond between Kenya and Tanzania.
He also said the partnership shows the two African countries to be united as one through the spirit of East Africa.
Magic is what happens when East African companies come together and work together, he explained.
